For the Gramona-Batlle family, 1881 was the start of an innovative project. "Celler Batlle" was born as a cellar in the heart of Sant Sadurní to export wines to France, which was at the point suffering from the Phylloxera epidemic. Over these over 100 years, "Celler Batlle" has become one of the leading producers of Long Mature Cava sparkling wines.

This Gran Reserva bubbly, D.O. Catalunya, made under the new brand of Bodegas Gramona (Barcelona - Sant Sadurní d'Anoia) is made with 50% Xarel·lo, 40% Macabeo and 10% Chardonnay grapes.

An outstanding Nature, aged five years, that was created in the 60s and has kept a prominent place ever since thanks to its complex and distinctive flavour.

Colour is a straw yellow with green hues, strong age notes, smoky and toasty, mountain flowers and nuts that blend into an aroma of butter and toffee to wood, dried figs and marron glacé.

In the mouth the sensation is a fine bubble, notes of age that fill the mouth, thick froth reminding of cream and a well-balanced carbonic.
